On May 17, 2004 the Supreme Court of Massachusetts violated the state constitution and ruled that homosexual marriage was legal in Massachusetts. Since the legalization of homosexual marriage in Massachusetts, the attack upon our children and religious liberties has become increasingly apparent.

Homosexual- activists have received an increase of State funding to go into our public schools and teach “tolerance”. Governor Mitt Romney vetoed four budget items that would quadruple the funding to nearly $2 million for homosexual programs in the schools and create a very powerful, independent "commission" of gay activists to spend it and raise more. The legislators met to override this veto, and were successful.

This book uses language not suitable to reprint here or anywhere, details various types of sexual activity. The book also includes pages of explicit and grotesquely graphic photographs. Also included are pages of names, addresses and phone numbers of "area bars and clubs for the discerning queer boy." In Massachusetts’s schools they are holding assemblies where homosexual activist and transgender individuals are indoctrinating our children with the homosexual agenda. They are promoting acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality and cross-dressing . Parents that have sought to make their children exempt from such “education” have been told that because homosexual marriage is legislated in Massachusetts they must teach tolerance to what the state has declared acceptable. Catholic Charities of Boston who has provided adoption services for over two decades was mandated to place children in homes of homosexual couples. In June 2005, an initiative led by Massachusetts family Institute www.mafamily.org

gathered some 170,000 signatures in an effort put marriage on the ballot for referendum. This would allow the Mass voters to decide on the issue of marriage and take it out of the hands of the legislature and the judiciary.

This has been met with unimaginable resistance. There have been two Constitutional conventions held to vote on bringing the Marriage Amendment to the ballot. Both times they have held the constitutional convention they have effectively denied a vote on the marriage issue, which is required by the constitution.  They postponed the vote until November 9 th after the November 7 th election. If the amendment is successful in passing the Constitutional Convention on Nov 9th, another Constitutional Convention must approve it during the 2007-2008 legislative sessions. Once approved by two consecutive Constitutional Conventions, the amendment will appear on the ballot in November 2008. If the amendment is not successful on Nov 9 th,homosexual marriage will remain legal in Massachusetts and nothing can be done about it for another eight years!

Right now, there is one and maybe two Supreme Court justices who are staying till a liberal U.S.Senate is in power that will assure that no conservative nominee will ever be confirmed. And as the Court stands right now, it is not at all certain whether traditional marriage will be upheld in the near future, so the confirmation of the next justice could be pivotal in defending the family

Phil Travis has said we are "whistling in the dark" if we think the vote will happen without great pressure from the people.  The house leadership has already planned to recess the meeting before a vote. Senate President Travaglini to allow a vote on the amendment in accordance with the constitution and his own public statement “there will be a vote.”
