Who We Are

Director

Bethany Yeo

Bethany Yeo is one of this generation's key leaders in prayer and compassion. As a young forerunner in various prayer and compassion movements, her covenant with God is unmistakable.

Bethany was raised in Massachusetts and for the last five years has served in Somebody Cares New England,a compassion ministry that labors to see City Transformation by working with the poor and destitute. Her role has been to oversee prayer and child services. She is also presently serving on the board of elders for CCF Street Church. Her work with Lou Engle and The Call/The Cause goes back to 2000 when she mobilized for The Call DC and was involved with future Call gatherings.

Bethany's most consistent message is that of the simplicity of devotion. Our supreme vocation being communion with Christ. The sum total of our lives is vanity if our greatest pursuit is not union with His heart.

Lou Engle says:

"Bethany Yeo is like a daughter to me. She has character forged from years in the life of prayer, battles for New England, a life of abandonment and consecration to God as I have rarely seen, and a spiritual authority that comes only from heaven. Bethany carries the endorsement of my heart, the endorsement of my vision, and the energy of my commitment. Stand with her for the future of New England!"

Core Team

The JHOP Boston currently consists of a core team of intercessory missionaries, including Bethany, who will be living in community near Harvard University and are working to establish and expand the Boston house of prayer.

Abigail Brown

4 years ago, God captured Abby's heart and she has never been the same. After completing a year of YWAM missionary training school, she joined with Lou Engle in JHOP D.C. in 2005. Gripped with the depth of God's desire for New England, she made a 2-year commitment to JHOP Boston. In the next two years she will be devoting her time to pioneering this house of prayer and, through prayer and fasting, seeing the restoration of the foundations of Harvard University and New England.

Darrell Temple

Darrell is a skilled musician and songwriter with the undeniable presence of God upon his life and music. He was born and raised in New England and has felt compelled to remain there to contend for the purposes of God to come to pass.

From the first time Darrell began leading worship there have been testimonies of salvation, healing, deliverance and angelic activity. He is the director of worship at CCF Street Church. There, his ministry has been described as “bringing heaven to those that have lived in hell”. Weekly, those who have been in bondage to abuse and addiction are encountering the redeeming presence of God. Many have described his music as awakening a cry deep within their spirit.

His ability to capture what the spirit of God is doing and put it into song has added great strength to the House of Prayer. He is gifted with a strong prophetic voice carrying a distinct sound, both simple and passionate.
